Even if you don't have a fax machine, you can still send a fax from your computer. A free online faxing service called FaxZero makes it simple to send a fax from your desktop, laptop or smartphone. All you need is an Internet connection and an email address. Because FaxZero is web-based, there's nothing to download and it doesn't matter if your computer runs on Windows, Mac or Linux. 
It's important to have anti-virus protection to stay safe online. If your anti-virus software has not been updated since 2009 it may have some incompatibilities with Windows 7.
