Is your computer really secure? If you have antivirus software, malware scanners and a firewall, you might think you'e safe from hackers, crackers and identity thieves. But chances are, you're missing one critical piece of the security puzzle. Bad guys can still tap into your personal information, even take over your computer. 
Can a MacBook running the newly released Snow Leopard OS actually levitate and fly around the room? What would an opera composed entirely on Twitter sound like? Are you likely to stumble into one of the 100 "Worst of the Worst" websites, designed to mess up your computer via malicious downloads and browser exploits? And will playing Tetris give you a thicker cortex? 
If you watch TV or listen to talk radio, you've probably heard services like Carbonite, Mozy and iDrive advertising incessantly. Online backup services help you create an off-site backup copy of your important files, which is a valuable tool if your hard drive crashes, if you accidentally delete a file, if you experience a disaster in your office such as a fire or flood, or if your computer is stolen. While on-site backup devices are practical they too can be lost, stolen, or destroyed in a fire. In these situations having an off-site backup can mean the difference between spending a couple of minutes to restore your files or spending thousands of dollars and hundreds of man hours to recreate files. 
Of all the nasty, evil, sneaky malware ever to infect millions of computers, the species known as the "rootkit" may well be the nastiest, evilest, and sneakiest. Rootkits are very difficult to detect; even harder to find once their effects have been detected; and eradicating them is extremely difficult. 
The iPhone and iPod Touch devices are virtually indistinguishable, except the iPod Touch can't make phone calls. But that can be fixed if you're patient and follow instructions. Even better, you won't have to pay an extra $100 for an iPhone or $60/month to AT&T for phone service! Using iPod Touch's WiFi capability, you can use one of several Voice-over-IP (VoIP) applications to make phone calls without paying carrier fees. 
Partitioning your hard drive is like putting up a digital fence, splitting your hard drive into distinct sections, each for a specific purpose. It allows you to install multiple operating systems, or just keep different types of data in their own little containers. So how can you create, resize, and manage partitions on your hard drive? With a partition manager of course.
