           TODAY'S TOURBUS TOPIC: Happy Holidays

Greetings of the Season to One and All!

Today's TOURBUS gives me a very special opportunity to wish holiday
blessings on tens of thousands of people in over 130 countries around
the world. With today being the first day of Hanukkah, Christmas
arriving tomorrow, and the beginning of Kwanzaa the day after that, I
wish all my Jewish, Christian, African American and friends of all
persuasions the best in this holiday season.

*** Happy Hanukkah, Merry Christmas, and a Joyous Kwanzaa to all! ***

Being of white anglo-saxon descent, I could recite the story of
Christmas backwards and forwards while juggling candy canes. And since
I grew up in an area that was predominantly Jewish, I know a menorah
from a dreidel and the story behind Hanukkah. But Kwanzaa was a mystery
to me until this week. Fortunately, I found an excellent website that
explains it all quite nicely.

I'm sure there are many people on the Bus who are a perhaps a bit sketchy
about one or more of these holidays, so here are some links you can follow
and learn more. (Pay attention to the spelling, upper / lower case, and
underscores in the addresses below.)

That's about it, I have a bunch of things to wrap, hang and arrange --
but before I go, here's one more site you'll enjoy. My friend and
Internet pioneer Dave Taylor has created a cool site called CyberSanta
that's a lot of fun. Drop on by, meet the elves and reindeer, and send
somebody a virtual fruitcake! The address is:

See you all again on the 30th. --Bob Rankin
