In a few weeks our little bus of Internet happiness will celebrate its third birthday (yes, folks, we have survived TOURBUS' "terrible twos"). To commemorate this event, I have both a quick announcement and a favor to ask of you. First, the announcement: TOURBUS IS NOW AVAILABLE EN ESPANOL ... NO, REALLY ... WE _MEAN_ IT THIS TIME. :P While Spanish translations of TOURBUS have been available on the TOURBUS Web site (http://www.tourbus.com/) for a while, I am happy to announce that you can now have Spanish translations of our TOURBUS posts delivered to your email box, free of charge, every Tuesday-ish and Thursday-ish. It's just like the regular TOURBUS, only different. To subscribe to TOURBUS en Espanol, send an email message to MAJORDOMO@LATIN-CONNECTION.COM with the command SUBSCRIBE ES_TOURBUS in the body of your email letter. That's it. :) Now for the favor (which has absolutely nothing to do with the Spanish version of TOURBUS, but I figured I'd kill two birds with one stone): DO YOU HAVE ANY SUGGESTIONS ON WAYS WE CAN "SPREAD THE WORD" ABOUT TOURBUS? I'd really like to tell a lot more people about our little bus of Internet happiness, but I am not sure how to go about doing it. Any suggestions? -------------------------------------- TODAY'S BONUS SOUTHERN WORD OF THE DAY -------------------------------------- Yesterday's Southern Word of the Day ("salary") was submitted by Ken Sawka. Alert TOURBUS rider Mike Cinalli noticed that Ken's last name is a Southern Word in and of itself! :) SAWKA (noun). A sport where you aren't allowed to touch the ball with your hands. Usage: "WORLD CUP?! That ain't FOOTBALL ... that's SAWKA!" :) You can find all of the old Southern Words of the day on the Web at http://www.netsquirrel.com/crispen/word/ .~~~. )) (\__/) .' ) )) Patrick Douglas Crispen /o o \/ .~ {o_, \ { **NEW** crispen@netsquirrel.com **NEW** / , , ) \ http://www.netsquirrel.com/ `~ '-' \ } )) _( ( )_.'
